Tony Davey's Tribute to the legendary Buddy Holly has unique links or connections to other 50's nostalgia, which sets this show apart as a tribute to the Kings of Rock N Roll. Available with or without a four piece band.
The Buddy Holly Tribute features Bobby Vee who at the tender age of 16 replaced Buddy Holly on the Illfated 1959 winter dance party tour which saw the loss of three of the 50’s Brightest Rock N Roll Stars. Also featured is the Santo and Johnny Guitar Instrumental Sleepwalk which was played throughout the film based on the life of Ritchie Valance.
The Show culminates in a salute to other rock n roll greats from the 50’s classics from, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Elvis Presley Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Johnny Kidd, Little Richard , Carl Perkins Rick Nelson, and The Shadows, a fitting end to a perfect night of nostalgia.
Tony has played up and down the East Yorkshire Coast Nottinghamshire, and The West Midlands for a number of years. In the last year he has been supported by rockabilly band Memphis Spirit / Memory Lane, he is also the founder member of the very succesful ultimate rock 'n' roll show featuring tributes to Buddy Holly Billy Fury Elvis Presley and Roy Orbison. This fantastic night of entertainment comes complete with a top quality 1.2 kw PA system, sound to light system and costume changes.
